Matisse Assignment

Download an image by Matisse from his Jazz Series and use the trace tool to select the various colored selections. Once that is done change the color to its complementary color. Put both the original image and the complementary one next to each other on a 8" x 11" document.

Printing Lab Hours

PRINTING LAB HOURS

MW is 8:30-10:30; 12:30-5:30

(the lab hours has be cut down due to the budget cut.)

Each students can only make 30 print per semester.

As we are trying to save ink and paper, officially students are only allowed to print during their class time.

Clipping path project

Create a 81/2" x 11" document and place a selection using the clipping path feature I taught you using Photoshop. Then, you are to import that image into Illustrator and wrap Lorem ipsum text around the selected image and create a colored back down by making a box and sending it to the back. There should be no white bounding box around your image.

This will be due on Monday and presented on screen. Good luck.

Collage Assignment

Select a myth, legion or fairytale and using Illustrator illustrate it using at least of seven images. You should also you the features clipping mask and the feather tool on at least one of the images, This assignment is due Monday and we will be projecting them on screen.

Three shapes within four squares.

Again create four boxes and within each place three different shapes. You are to arrange the three shapes to makes:

Box One to have all of the shapes have equal visual weight

Box Two to have the triangle shape be dominate.

Box three to place the triangle so that it is alienated from all the other shapes.

Box four to create a figure ground design.

Line Within Four Boxes

Create for boxes that are 3.5" x 3.5" and within those boxes make four lines. The first box should be with horizontal lines. The second with vertical ones and the Fourth with diagonal ones. In the remaining box use any combination of all three directions.

Typography Assignment

Create a new document and spell out the word Typography, and then identify all the parts of the word with arrows. Also include examples of Serif and Sans Serif.
